Why would anyone want any less from God than HIS total experience. I mean, if they were serving a exquisitely huge
and extreme banquet of delicious wonderful sorts of food, wouldn't you at least taste a part of it, or perhaps you would stick
with onions and yams. God is offering us to be enveloped in His Glory and His fire. Being saved, you can fill up that glass of
water. You have all the fruits of the Spirit. But when Jesus said, "if you believe in me, as the scriptures read that out of your
belly will come RIVERS of Living water." (John 7: 38). That is like putting a facet inside the Glass and turning it on.
When Jesus gave the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20), He knew that His disciples could not fulfill it in their own
power. Therefore, He had a special gift in store for them: It was His plan to give them the same power that He had -- the
power of the Spirit of God. So, immediately after giving them the Great Commission, Jesus commanded his disciples not to
leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father promised.
He said, " John baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now" (Acts 1:4-5).
The disciples waited in Jerusalem as Jesus had commanded, and one day when they were all together, "suddenly there
came from heaven a noise like a violent, rushing winds, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And there
appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them. And they were filled with
the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance" (Acts 2:3,4).

| Now, having asked and received, begin to practice praying in the power of the Spirit. An ideal place to begin is praising God in a new language. To do this, just begin praising God out loud in whatever sounds come to out of your mouth as YOU utter them. Thank Him, worship Him, and by faith, you move and yield your mouth and voice to Him. Let Him give you new words of praise by the Spirit you never heard before. Talk to Him in tongues and sing praise to Him with those words in your own language as well. He will lead in all this. Do not worry about what is called babbling, they were accused of this as well in the book of ACTS. Trust He will fill you and is filling you now with the genuineness of His Spirit. Yeshua said, "If you ask your father for the Holy Spirit will he give you a snake? How much more will your Father who is in heaven give you the Holy Spirit if you ask! " Luke 11:11 You'll find that this can be a very rewarding experience of communication with God that will build up your faith. Continue to pray to God each day in the language that the Holy Spirit has given you. Paul said, Building up yourself in most Holy Faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keeping yourselves in the LOVE OF GOD. This prayer language is the utterance of all that God wants to give you through the baptism in His Spirit. This is how you will develop your spiritual life, and train your human spirit as well to listen and hear from Heaven. |
